BLASTORM BACK |
JANUARY 2008: The Academy of Art University in San Francisco spotlights someone you know. Not a bad way to end '07. Godspeed to you and yours this gnarly new year.
DECEMBER 2007: Hey, all. Besides the latest that MG's become a non-fiction author, EVEN BETTER news: that mystery book we've been hyping, preparing you for, is almost upon us (pinky swear and/or a spit-handshake! We're flexible...!). The files just arrived at the printers, and now it's a waiting game for this final product of epic proportions.
And it reads like a 40-page living, breathing cartoon, bringing back comicdom to the general audiences; no gore or questionable content in sight! Incidentally, it's turned out so splendidly, we feel almost unworthy of our names appearing on the front cover, it's THAT GOOD. Naaah, we all gave it 150,000%, and deserve whatever comes our way in the wake of this unique collaborative milestone. Screen legend LeVar Burton once said -- okay, more than once -- in fact, many, many times: "But you don't have to take MY word for it."
We don't have the time to ask certain parties if they'd lend us their names, so what you'll get is a book by and credited to four comic book creators of different talents and abilities; we just don't happen to be household names... Yet. Hope you understand, and so we thank you. _____________ Book One is due out very, very soon (October; THIS OCTOBER! Almost the 6-year anniversary of BLASTORM: ZOMBIE KILLER!). This time we're not stalling; this time we mean business. Stay tuned! It's gonna be Saturday morning cartoons all over again, and you don't even need a boob-tube or appropriately themed PJs! It's a book for EVERYONE.
FUN FACT: Issue 2 of _____________ is nearly scripted, and is about to hit the drawing phase.
FUN FACT, THE SECOND: Dozens of _____________ sequels long-in-the-works are threatening to fall into active production like unforgiving dominoes, as well.
FUN FACT III: There's nothing we can do; these babies write themselves and are crying for attention! Argh-sigh.
JULY 2007: All right, so on to month 2 in SF, and it's all been great so far. Great school, city, and city folk. And the new book is almost upon us; had some sneaky, pesky page resolution problems, but they're getting hammered out. Stay tuned... Words cannot convey how cool this new book is gonna be -- IF... I may be so bold.
And, business cards (now in nifty, modern Hi-RES for legibility on AND offscreen!)! Who DOESN'T like business cards? Now that I'm in SF for at least 2.5 years, making over-due progress, and connections in and out of Hollywood and Comicbook Land, I've refined an old design and I think the final product doesn't look too shabby -- IF... I may once again be so bold. Feel free to print the front and back and bootleg the heck out of it. I WHOLEHEARTEDLY encourage it! It's a business card, after all -- so please, knock yourselves out! Thanks in advance, and from the bottom of my heart.
